Overview


Global Design Leader on the CMO’s team, managing both internal and agency creative teams, from a central corporate function. Led design across the main portfolio and high-value experiences, collaborating with C-suite executives, senior leadership, key stakeholders, and creative teams. Successfully worked across a complex, matrixed organization, achieving alignment across all functional business units.

Significant and varied experience in design, product, UX, marketing, brand, strategy, and business leadership. Various altitude switching of high-level engaging with C-suite to hands-on technical work in the weeds. GSD leadership expertise in IC, managing small teams, leading large workflows (+100ppl), and driving organizational change (+800ppl).

Established the unified design vision.

Global Director managing both internal and agency creative teams. 

Led multiple complex teams (+150ppl) collectively to execute creative against the business strategy. Priority focus was partnering with stakeholders and creative teams to deliver best-in-class experiences and improved customer engagement.

Design execution for a $5B new business. 

Included design strategy, creative direction, and experience development. Received recognition by the Vice Chair of GE.

 


Product Leadership

 

Drove foundational design language.

Unified business units with a singular design language. Leveraged the design systems to improve positioning, clarify content, and grow campaigns across global markets and show up in one voice.

Updated the corporate typeface to save lives. 

Improved global usability, functionality, accessibility, and ensured success for hyper-critical use cases. Hyper-critical cases include life-saving medical interfaces, airplane cockpit instrumentation, and nuclear power reactor controls.

Spearheaded global design-specific experience guidelines. 

Increased perception to 85-96% positivity with target audiences. Elevated internal maturity and external perception of the GE.

Reinvigorated and led the global design community (by 40X). 

Improved program operations and the user experience (98% satisfaction). Leveraged research and data to develop high-impact engagements, improve inclusivity and collaboration, and foster a culture of design innovation.

Facilitated workshops to solve problems critically, strategically, and creatively.

Partnering with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external agency. Resulted in rapid product validation that was desirable for the user, viable to the business, and captured unmet needs.

Hands-on leader for the launch of new physical environments. 

Drove design and oversaw build-out of New York HQ which became the blueprint of global spaces to follow. Improved transparency, communication, and creativity with the culture in the new spaces.
